As part of our Digital Learning Design course, you’ll choose a learning pathway that allows you to specialize in a specific area of digital learning. These pathways are designed to give you in-depth skills and knowledge tailored to your career goals, helping you build expertise in the areas that matter most to you.
COURSE OUTCOMES
- Design engaging, end-to-end digital learning experiences tailored to your audience.
- Master core instructional design skills for various digital learning modalities including videos, multimedia eLearning, micro learning, podcasts, social learning and immersive learning.
- Apply visual design, universal design, and user experience principles to elevate the learner’s experience.
- Use learning analytics to profile your learners and make informed design decisions.
- Explore the latest trends, technologies, and tools in the digital learning space, including artificial intelligence.
- Work seamlessly with subject matter experts at all stages in the design and development process.
- Employ strategies for enhanced learner engagement, including gamification, personalisation, nudging and learning marketing.
- Formulate a roll-out and evaluation plan for your digital learning experiences, including learning management system (LMS) considerations.
ACCREDITATION
Accredited by Glasgow Caledonian University. Equivalent to 10 credits at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
DELIVERY
Online, hybrid: Study at your own pace with optional live classes, tutor support, and community engagement.
Enrolment
Enrolling every month with a choice of morning (10 am) or evening (6 pm) classes.
Assessment
Assessed 100% through practical project-based assessment; taking the form of a work-based digital learning experience that showcases your digital learning design skills, experience, and value. Students will be supported through the assessment process during the course.
